SkyTeam's new lounge

SkyTeam has started a brand new lounge at the Atatürk International Airport in Istanbul. Available to elite FFP as well as premium passengers flying from this airport on any of ten SkyTeam member airlines which serve Istanbul. This brand new lounge measures 350m² and it can hold ninety passengers. It has a business centre along with complimentary Wi-Fi, printing facilities, an oxygen bar as well as massage chairs, a buffet, bar and more than seventy electric power sockets as well as a reading area.

Michael Wisbrun, the managing director of SkyTeam, told that Turkey is one of the fastest growing economies in the world and with direct links to Istanbul by SkyTeam airlines worldwide, the investment in the brand new lounge will strengthen their brand in this market.

The Istanbul facility of the SkyTeam is the newest in a series of brand new lounges being build up by the alliance. Two new lounges, at Beijing airport and Sydney airport, will tart in late 2014 and 2013 respectively.

SkyTeam airlines serving Atatürk International Airport include Alitalia, China Southern, Aeroflot, Air France, Delta Air Lines, Middle East Airlines, Tarom, Saudia, Korean Air and KLM.

Istanbul's hotel prices are beginning to get back on track after a decrease during the demonstrations recently, stated the ministry of tourism. An action plan has been made to increase the number of visitor fifty million in the next ten years.
